Power supply, communication

  1. How to wire the 4-pin cable of the card reader?
  2. Standard power supply: Red and yellow lines are connected to 12V positive, and two black lines are connected to 12V negative.
  3. With backup capacitor (group), the red line is connected to the 12V main power supply, one black line is connected to the 12V main power supply negative, the yellow line is connected to the backup capacitor (group), and the other black line is connected to the backup capacitor (group).
  1. How much power is required forpower supplyof the card reader?

The nominal power supply needs 12V 2.5A or more. If the same power supply is connected to other devices (such as printers) in addition to the power supply to the card reader, the power supply should be selected according to the total power.

  1. What communication standard is used?

Our product mainly adopts the industrial communication RS232C standard, and its signal has TXD, RXD, GND. At present, the three-wire system is mainly used, and a small part of products are 9-line DB9 interface. For details, please refer to the product specification.

Second, testing and maintenance

  1. How to test if the card reader is normal?

Open the CTEST 5.0 DEMO or the DEMO program of the corresponding product and conduct functional testing according to the corresponding product operating instructions.

a.Magnetic card test: Open DEMO, click DEMO to enter the card control, select the magnetic card to enter the card, insert a magnetic card from the card slot, and then click the read magnetic card button, and DEMO displays the magnetic card track data.

  1. IC card (taking the CPU card as an example) test: Open DEMO, click on the card control, select the switch mode to enter the card, insert an IC card from the card slot (note the IC card insertion direction, the chip upwards the card on the arrow to insert Bayonet), after the card enters the card machine, click the mobile card to the IC card operation bit, perform CPU card reset, APDU operation, and complete the IC card (CPU card) function basic test).
  2. How to maintain the card reader?
  3. Use a brush to clean the outer surface of the card.
  4. Clean and maintain the card machine. Itis recommended to use the cleaning card for maintenance. Sprinkle the non-alcohol on the cleaning card, insert it into the inside of 310, and perform the card removal to complete the card machine channel to clear the foreign matter.
  5. After using the card machine for more than two years, it is necessary to add a certain amount of lubricating oil to the gear unit of the card machine.

    Third, application development materials

1.What application development reference materials are available under the Window platform?

Basically, communication protocols are provided to customers as interface files for development. In order to facilitate the secondary development of the customers, we also provide DLL development resources on the Window platform, and VC, VB, DEPHI development routines.

Note: The relevant routines are only a single function calling routine and calling instructions.

    1. Does it support the Linux platform?

Most products support the Linux platform and provide drivers and routines, please contact the salesmen for further information.

Fourth, the card machine supports the operation card type

    1. What types of cards does the reader support?

As general, the card reader is divided into a magnetic card that only supports reading the ISO/IEC 7811 standard format, a contact IC card that only supports reading and writing ISO/IEC 7816 or EMV standard formats, and non-contact IC cards that only supports ISO/IEC 14443 protocol or two cards supporting or three cards all supporting. For details, please refer to the instructions of the corresponding products.

    1. What types of non-contact ICcard are supported?

For non-contact IC cards, mainly support ISO/IEC14443 protocol cards with 13.56MHz operating frequency, such as Mifare one S50, S70, UL card, Type A/B (T=CL) CPU cards.

    1. Do you support a 125KHz ID card?

Our products don’t support 125KHz ID card operation for the moment.
